Crafted with Passion,
Served with Pride
From a small family kitchen to the heart of Charlottesville — discover the people and purpose behind every slice of Pizza luce.
A Passion for Pizza,
Born in Charlottesville
Pizza luce began in 2008 when Marco and Sofia Lucetti packed their dreams — and a treasured family recipe from Naples — into a small storefront on 2nd Street NW. They believed that great pizza wasn't just food; it was a reason for people to gather, laugh, and connect.
From day one, every dough was hand-stretched, every sauce slow-simmered, and every pie slid into a stone-fired oven the traditional way. Word spread quickly through the streets of Charlottesville. What started as a neighborhood secret became the city's favorite Friday night tradition.
Today, Pizza luce serves hundreds of families each week, but our soul hasn't changed — we're still that family kitchen, just a little bigger, a little wiser, and always deeply proud of what we make.
- Authentic Neapolitan stone-fired technique
- All dough prepared fresh daily on-site
- Locally sourced produce from Virginia farms
- Family-owned and community-rooted since 2008
